itt. former records by closing the 125 hours grinding with an output ot 300
tuns. This i fully 10 percent moro than the boat work of former years.
" The three roller mill being 26 in. by 54 iu. and the two roller mill 30 in.
by 60 in. 1 ho first milldbing this amount of work in an efficient manner
aud with great pase, compared with work on whole cane, owing to thorough
prfpniaton of the cano by the National Cane Shredder, recently erected or
the C mpany;
" A id by its use tho extraction has been Incroarjed from 3 percent to 5 per
cent m all kinds of cane, and in some cases 80 percent has been reached;
the averugo being 75 to 78 porcent, according to quality.
