dently auticipatod that it will bo
the fastest race for that distance
over run on that track. Admirors
of both horses aro confident and
it will be an exciting ovont.
Next comes a milo and a half
run between Amorino and Gay's
Senator Stanfoul. Theso aro tho
two best horses in tho country.
Both sides aro sanguine over thoir
prospocts of winning.
In a trotting and pacing raco
for tho three minute class tnoro
will bo four onirics. This pro
mises to create groat interest, as
botweon the fastest and slowest of
the horses there is only a few
soconds of difference.
Tho three-quarter milo for Ha
wjiiinn bred horses miiv or mav
not fill. Silky and Gerster havo
a match raco on tho list. If it
takes place then Creole will not
run, and otherwise Silky nnd
Creole will contest in tho free for
nil. Both horses have plonty of
friends and a great many were
dissatisfied with thoir contest on
the llth of June.
It is declared by horsomon that
if Creolo and Silky meot, tho rec
ord of this track will bo broken.
Owners of the horses aro put to
great exponso and trouble in pre
paring for races, and it is expect
ed that thoir efforts to maintain
the fair famo of tho track at Ka
piolani Park will bo rewarded by
u large turnout of patrons of tho
sport.
