The third firo alarm in threo
days camo at 12:30 p. m. today
from tho corner of King and
South streets, and caused con
siderable excitemont for a
tune. Tho firo was in a
big pile of rubbish
in tho yard of Hustaco it Co.,
draymon. It was extinguished by
the chemical engine in a short
time. Largo quantities of cut
firewood and the stables of tho
company woro cloao to tho firo.

There was a big attendance at
the auction salo of goods damaged
at the recent firo, conducted by
Auctioneer Morgan in tho big
store room of tho Wavorly block
today, and at times tho largo
room was fairly crowded with bid
ders and spectators. Morgan
handled the goods with Ihb usual
celerity and when tho reporter
was present they seomod to find
a lively salo and bring fair prices.
