It is tho bust of n satyr, who
holds his head back and suiilca at
a littlo cupid standing on tiptoe
at tho foot of tho podostal and
icaohing up tickles tho throat of
tho satyr with n Btraw. Tho satyr
looks as though ho wero born to

tho cupid is so anxious that tho
effect is droll.
Dobbertin says ho nover molds

a well-defined feeling or thought

of tho nature that makes the full
grown man feel like n littlo boy
when liu libtens to thorn. The
tone tickled tho sculptor exceed
ingly, as ho said afterward.
It tickled him so much that ho
began to iinugino the real feeling
in tho mind of tho great painter.
The thought became very strong in
his mind, so strong really that as

Tho title of this wollknown
