For more than fifty years
has PERRY DAVIS' PAIN
KILLER stood the test
against all remedies prepared
to eradicate pain, and today
stands at the head of the list
among the medicines that are
so essential to keep at hand in
the home..
It is not a now fanglo remedy
nor do tho proprietors lay
claim to any wonderful revela
tion of the ingredients that ou
ter into the manufacture of
this ever popular remedy.
It is perfectly harmless, you
need have no fear of becoming
habitually inclined toitsuso.
For Colic, Cramps, Dysen
tery, Colds, and all painful
affections, a few doses will cer
tainly givo relief. You cannot
afford to be without a bottle
in tho houso.
Your forefathers used it
and found it beneficial.
Why experiment with some
remedy that is now and its effect
on tho system unknown?
It has many rivals but no
equal. .

Dunborg. ono of the Americans
engaged in tho Honduras revolu
tion, has just returned here. Ho
says tho whole affair was,concoct
cd in tho Louisiana Hotel in this
city. A wealthy Honduran sup
plied tho funrla.
Five hundred Honduran sol
diers were paid to desert tho Gov
ernment, but weakened at tho Inst
moment nud Burrmidored. Some
Americans and tho wealthy Hon
duran who ongincpuui tho revolt
escaped in a bont.
On tho r.rnvnl of the Uritish
man-of-war Intrepid at Puerto
Corti-z, after tho suppression of
tho revolt, tho Government re
fused to release tho prisoners on
tho Jiritirth captain's demands,
saying that only one Britisher
was among the prisoners. Tho
British captain gave tho Govern
ment twenty minutes in which to
rhieaso tho prisoners, including
the Americans. At the end of
twenty minutes all were released.

Mny Htmy In Salt Prone Wen,
Mrs. Carrio Dimond is pursu
ing her stage ambition with un
abated interest in spite of tho fact
that sho was not quite pleased
with tho management of her en
gagement in San Francisco.
"Tho stage is tho only thiim I
seo ahead," said Mrs. Dimond to a
Call reporter, "and I am now
compelled to earn my way, so I
intend to continue in my chosen
profession."
Mrs. Dimond has not yet decid
ed whether sho will go on tho
road or accept a position in San
Francisco, but she is inclined to
remain hero.
"It is far easier to remain here,"
said sho yesterday, "than to count
ties afoot from eonio distant point
back hero again, so I think I shall
remain hero. I have had soveral
offers to remain in local theaters
and I may remain right hero."
Uncertainties and n Ccrtnlut'
The attention of tho publio is
now fully occupied and diverted
in the' consideration and discus
sion of several important current
and prospective happenings. An
nexation, as yet unsecure, Re
ciprocity threatened; tho coming
of tho Naniwa, aud hor mission
after arrival; tho outcome of tho
war between Greece and Turkey
and, whether or no, all Europe
will eventually becomo involved;
tho settlement of tho q&arautiuo
equabblo are all themes ot inupli
coujeoturo and uncertainty, and
while opinions aro freely offorod,
uono can accurately foretoll tho
outcome of any of those matters.
Nevertheless, it is becoming more
apparent, as each day passes, that
Buffalo and Hoffbrau are the
favorite brows, and it iB gratify
ing that assurance is givon that
regular shipments of these whole
some and strengthening bever
ages can be depended upon, and
that thav will, as heretofore, be
disnensed at tho Boyal, Pacific'
and Cosmopolitan Saloons, and
that tho intorchangeablo check
system is an established faot.
