statement in regard to the stand
ing of those obtaining Normal
certificates from that institution.
Ho wished tho Board to examine
into tho studies required and de
termine whether thoy wore not tho
equal of those in tho Govornment
Normal School. If so, the holdors
of Karaehamoha cortificates should
bo placed on an equal footing with
tho holders of Government certi
ficates. He was even willing that
Kaniohaineha Normal pupils
should take the same examination
as tho Govornment schools.
