milk. It should bo quite stiff if it is to

lard, nalt and as little water at possible.

made, this is almost equal to puff paste.
Add half a cupful of sugar to 3 beaten
whites of eggs for a meiinguo for 3 pies.

sweetened peaches to each pic. Cover
with a meringuo and brow n in tho oven.
Strawberry Custmd. To tho plain
cti.stard add a half cupful of fresh or
ennned strawberries for each pio. Cover
with it meringue.
