ministrative forced labor, it exist
ed all the year round. Today it is
enforced only in cases of public
danger. The growth of cotton,
which was limited, has doubled
under the aegis of justice nnd
equality betoro the law.' Hussein
el Akad concludes with the fol
lowing remarks: 'Such aro the
benefits of the British occupation,
and I do not understand how ihu
pretended patriots who run count
or to tho exibting regimo can deny
their existence, seeing that they
shine as tho sun at noonday. Tho
