hoartily. Majoc Whittle then
mado a short address, and led his
henrers in singing tho "Bnttlo
Hymu of tho Republic." After
this Colonel Roosovolt mado his
way to tho side of the organ. Ho
said:
Men, or rnthor comrades, of tho
Rough Ridors: Wo aro not really
saying good-by. It's going to bo
a week or ton days boforo wo nre
mustered out, and in that timo I
shall soo oaoh ono of you for a
personal good-by talk. But I
wantod to talk to you on tho war

You know how closoly wo nro
