authorities. Its capital is the
town of Ponta Dolgada. The po
pulation of tho island is about
120,000. Agriculturo is woll do

yet, but ono is boing considered.

a great variety of timber trees.

60,000,000 litres of Indian corn
and 10,000,000 litres of beans.
