A Japanese resident of Kopo

afternoon by cutting his throat
whilo in an outhouso. After doing

houso and his resistance, when it
was sought by police officers to
pot him out, proved so great that
it was necessary to cut out a
couplo of hoards in tho floor. Tho
follow was taken to a Japancso
doctor and tho wound was sowed
up. It was not until, ton minutes
after this that tho follow died.
Insanity is supposed to have beon
tho cause of tho deed. Ho inquost
will bo hod, as tho coronor is
satisfied boyond a doubt that the
Japaneso committed suicido.
