New Orleans (La.), January 18.
Tho most definite news yet re
ceived regordiug the Paul Jones,
the yacht that so strangely dis
appeared two weeks ago, enmo to
Imnd today. Early this morning
some fishermen found two trunks
on tho shore of liiid islnnd, north
of tlio northeast pass of the Miss
issippi river. In ono of tho
trunks wna a pair of stookings
marked A. T. Toggert. At a
point not far distant from Bird
island n hunter found a mahogany
shutter which had been wrenched
from a yacht.
TheBO Buds, together with
wreckage seen in tho neighbor
hood of Chandeleur island, put a
very gloomy view upon things,
but suddenly there was a chango
when Captain Boggo o,' tho tup
Leo put into Scrauton, Miss, and
reported that ho had spoken tho
yacht Jones on January llth.
0. W. 0. Hardman, when
