CHANGE IN SAILING STMR "KINAU."
On and after November 7th, next, the
steamer KINAU will sail from Honolulu
n Tuesdays at 12 o'clock noon, Instead
of at 1 o'clock p. m., for Kaunakakal,
Lahaina, Manlaea Bay, Klhel, Makena,
Kawalhae, Mahukona, Laupahoehoe, and
Returning, wilt sail from Hllo on Fri
days at 2 p. m. ,for above named ports,
arriving at Honolulu on Saturdays.
Passengers and freight will be taken for
Mskenn, Mahukona, Kawalhae, Hllo, Ha
kalau, Honomu, Papaikou, and Pepeekeo.

Hllo held at the Courthouse on Thurs
day afternoon to discuss location of
postolflco and customhouse was very
largely attended hy tho solid business
men of tho town, who take, and havo

tho appropriation for tho purposo vn3
not to ho oxpentlcd by tho present
Government, nnd theio was no know
ing when we should have this much
needed building If action from Wash
ington hud to he waited for.
Hon. 0. IC. Wilder was elected chalr
mnn nnd W. H .Smith Secretary. Mr.
J. A. Scott helrig called upon to state
tho object of tho meeting, said that
while In Honolulu ho had guno In to
consult Minister Young relative to the
poHtolUce and customhouse buildings,
which were very badly neoded.
After considerable discussion a com
mittee mailo up of Messrs. WlWur,
Scott, Fairer, l.ochcnstcln and Wilson
was selected to epitomize the Ideas of
the meeting as to "location nnd report
to the Minister of tho Interior .
Headers of tho Tribune will remem
ber the petition relatlvo to tho confir
mation of land titles. A copy has been
sent to Laupahoehoe for signatures
which has not ct been returned, The
copy sent to Olan has been rejected by
the Inhabitants of that burg as being
