Co. M. Several suspicious cases were
also found and tho patients Isolated un
til tho nature of their aliment could bo
positively determined. Nono of tho
cases aro regarded as serious, and as all
tho men In tho volunteer uimpn have
recently been vaccinated there Is no
fear of tho disease spreading. How
ever, In order to guard against all pos
sibility of such n contingency the regi
ment was ordered to tho detention
camp on Angel Inland. Tho prepara
tions for their removal wero at onco be
gun, nil tho straw used In tho soldiers'
bedding being burned. Tho men were
taken over to tho Island lato in tho nf-

(lenoicl McDowell, taking with them
only their light baggage. Tho 4Sth
