Wnlluku. Feb. 18. A very painful
and almost very serious accident hap
pened to Miss Nancy Cummlngs,
daughter of Thos. Cummlngs, head
lunn of Wnlknpu, Inst Tuesday. Dur
ing tho dny Miss Cummlngs and her
cousin, Miss Molllo King, went out
horseback riding. Miss King had al
ready mounted and Mls3 Cummlngs
was about to get on her horso when
Miss King's horso started to bolt fol
lowed by Miss Cummlng's horse, but
as tho latter was not properly seated
on tho saddlo sho was thrown to tho
ground In front of Ah Fat's storo, a
few hundred yards from their resi
dence. When Miss CummlncH was
picked up and taken to her homo, her
noso, fnce and forehead wero found to
bo badly cut tip. Dr. Armltago was im
mediately sent for nnd tho cuts on tho
forehead were sewed tip.
