Another part of the Interview was

out a statement by the Doctor attribut
ing a beneficial modification of the

English did not even then show any
of the symptoms of plague, her pulse
still being slow and normal.
At about S o'clock Sunday night, an
other message over tho wire came for
the doctor to hurry down to Kahultil,
and Dr. Armltagc got down as soon as
possible In answer to the call. On
his arrival It Is said Miss English
greeted him with "Good by doctor, I
am going, I have pneumonia In the
lungs." Sho failed rapidly and in less
than twenty minutes after Dr. Ar
mltngc got there sho died. Tho doctor
said this was one of tho most peculiar
cases ho over camo across. Thero were
no outward symptoms to Indlcato that

generally known to the friends of de

times with hemorrhage, and although
