was received from Washington yester
day ordering tho Quartermaster's De
partment In this city to take possession
at onco of tho lladgcr, now lying nt
Mnro Island, which has been turned
over by tho Navy Department to the
Tho Lcolanaw was wrongly teportcd
as having left Manila on her scheduled
date. As a matter of fact, she did not
clear from that port until March ?lth,
several days after the date reported.
Tho Hancock will not be able to get
off on April ICtli, her scheduled time,
but Is expected to sail on April 18th.
Tuts delay Is due to tho l'hlllpplno
