Proclamation.
Whereas, the act to provide a govern'
ment for the Territory of Hawaii, te-
quires that a general election shall be
held on the Tuesday next after the
first Monday In November A .D. 1900,
and that at least forty days before any
election, the Governor Bhnll Issue an
election proclamation:
Now, therefore, In accordance there
with, I, Sanford B. Dole, Governor of
the Territory of Hawaii, hereby give
notice that n general election for a
Delegate to the House of Representa
tives of the United States to serve dur
ing the Fifty-sixth Congress, a Dele
gate to the House of Representative
of the United States to serve during
the Fifty-seventh Congress, and for
Senators nnd Representatives of the
Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii,
will be held on Tuesday, November
Cth, A. D. 1900, throughout the Ter
ritory between the hours of 8 o'clock a.
m. and 5 o'clock p. m.
