TO CURE TUBERCULOSIS
Philadelphia, Pa., Sept. 29. Dr.
Uorgc Denton Massey of 1S31 Chest-
mt Btrect .claims the discovery of a
new methood of treating tuberculosis,
and he says ho has effected two nbe
imp cures. In speaking of his new
method today the doctor said:
"My process Includes nn enforced
strrllljatlon of the affected party. This
Is accomplished by the production of
electrolytic salts ot mercury In the
midst of tlio grm colony. The salts
arc then radiated through thu stir
rcvndlng diseased tissue from a gold
electrode by a mild current of elec
tricity. This operation must be repeat
ed at least twlco a week. A small
puncture Is made In the skin of neck,
umltr cooling spray , which deprives
that portion ot the body of till sensa
tion. The opening Is made with a
sharp needle directly over the enlarged
Clauds
"Through the opening n tiny gold
tube Is Inserted, and through the tub?,
which Is reullty n hollow needle,
n drop cf quicksilver Is Injected. This
quicksilver Is Immediately changed In
to electrolytic salts of mercury by tho
application of a very slight electric cur
lent, which Is passed through the
needle. Tho salts are, an nntlseptk,
and by the action of the electric cur-r.-cnt
are radiated through the diseased
nr?t. This treatment will usually ef
fect n euro within six weeks. A deslr
nble feature of this method ot tieat
ment Is that patients are not oblige!
to dislst from their ordinary duties."
Dr. .Massey recently explained his
ri'.thod to the Electro-Therapeutic bu
ddy In New Yorrk.

White Teeth!
are generally perfect and sound,
and at all events are a much
prettier feature of the mouth
than dirty and discolored teeth.
Then again when kept clean
and white are less liable to decay
which rather Is due to thought
lessness in teeth care.
All teeth preparations, in a
general way are good we have
them all some better than
others.
Prophylactic
