4 o'clock Thursday afternoon and le-
malned there for nearly fifteen minuter.
Mrs, Lyons and Mrs. Kepolkal were
sitting on the front verandah ot Mr.
Kepolkal's residence. They had
dressed tbe little girl Intending to tako
a walk to a friend's houae up the
Btreet. Mrs. Kepolkal went Into the
bath house for a bath before going nut
and as soon as she opened the door ot
the house she saw tbe hat of the little
girl floating on the surface ot the wa
ter, and without hesitation she plunged
Into tho deep bath tub and found little
Elaln lying at tbe bottom and pulled
Drs. E. Armltage and J. Weddlck
were summoned. For three hours the
two medical men, aided by Dr. Boot
and others, worked upon the lifeless
body trying their utmost to resuscitate
her, but In vain and at 7:30 o'clock
