the Dead Id the District of Honolulu.
Whereas, that there having been no
p'ace prepared for the burial of the dead as
riqulred by law at the expiration of the
perloj jet, October lt, iqoo, andanexten
lion of time having been grunted for such
pecial burial permit until cemeteries as
pretcrieeJ by law should be available, anJ
now that such feasible arrangements are
an accompllsaed fact, therefore,
Resolved, that no permit for Interments
shall be granted within the 'city limits
except to those already possessing burial
riots.
This regulation shall go Into effect from
and after the tst day of January, A. (J.,

Proposals will be received at the office
of the Hoard of Health up to 12 o'clock,
noon, Wednesday, November 28, lyoo, for
furnishing, the Leper Settlement with
Canned Cooked Fresh .Meats, Beef, Mut'
ton, etc., for the period of seven months,
ending June 30th, loot.
The proposal should be for Canned
Cooked Fresh Meats, Beef, Mutton, etc..
In one and two pound cans, to be delivered
within two months of the time when the

and the order for the goods Is to be for a
specified quantity of say 20,000 pounds of
Canted Cooked fresh .Meats. Beef or
Mutton. The contractor Is to make the
delivery f.o b. Island steamers.
All proposals should be accompanied by
simples of the goods on w hlch the bid Is
made, and endorsed on the outside "Pro
posil for Canned Me its."
The Hoard does mt bind Itself to accept
tlie lowest or any propisal.

of 1807. one Awa License for each district
of the several Islands will be sold at Pub
lic Auction between the 1st and 7th day of
December, 1900, eacli license to be for the
term of ONE YEAR from the 1st day o'f
January, 1001. The upset price wl'l be as
follows:
For the District of Honolulu, Ji, 000.00
For the District of Hllo 500.00
For the District of Wal luku ... . 500.00
For the District of Lahalna. ..25000
For each other District 100 00
The licenses for the District of Hono
lulu, Ewa anJ Walalua, Koolau oa and
Koolaupoko, on the Island of Oahu, will
be sold at the front entrance of the Capitol

cember, 11)00, at 12 o'clock noon.
Those for the Islands of .Maul, Hawaii
and Kauai, will be sold In the respective
Dls ricts of those Islands upon such lay
and date within the limit of time fixed bv
law, as shall be designated by the sevtr.

dale and place of sale will be given by
posters In each of the said Districts.
A cash deposit of twenty-five percent of
the amount of the successful bid will be
required on the fall of the hammer, said
deposit to be forfeited to the Government
