rescued the schooner Mermaid, with
supplies for the Army post at Valdea,

The V. O. Hall reports that the buoy
at Punaluu Is lost and canot be
found. A heavy wester prevailed along
the Kona coast and Hookena wharf is
filled up with sand preventing the boats
from going nlongslde. The Iwalaul
will leave Honokaa today at 12 o'clock
