make prompt returns to the Treasury of all
collections on Government account to De
cember 31, 1900, and to send In their
sworn statements tnereof to the Auditing
Department without delay.
Honolulu accountants not later than Jan,
uar 5th., tool, and those residing on the
other Island not later than January loth.,
When the last remittance Is made on
account of 1900 receipts, advise the Treas
ury Department to that effect.

Upon failure of any Corporation to pre
sent the exhibit within the time required,
the Treasurer will, either himself or by
one or more commissioners appointed by
him, call for the ptodu:tlon of the books
and papers of the Corporation and examine
Its officers touching Its affairs under oath.

Regulations Regarding the Interment of
the Dead In the District of Honolulu.
Whereas, that there having been no
place prepared for the burial of the dead as
required by law at the expiration of the
period set, October 1st, 1900, and an exten
sion of time having been granted for such
special burial permit until cemeteries as
prescribed by law should be aval table, and
now that such feasible arrangements are
an accompllsaed fact, therefore,
Resolved, that no permit for Interments
shall be granted within the city limits
except to those already possessing burial
This regulation shall go Into effect from
znd after the 1st day of January. A. D,
