FIRST CIRCUIT JUDGES.
There was a meeting of the liar As
sociation on Saturday, to consider tho
status of tho First Circuit Court. The
law provides for two judges but for
some months now the second Judgeship
has been vacant. This meeting seems
to have agreed that tho circuit requin s
three Judges. A committee was ap
pointed to report a recommendation,
consisting of theso members: A. G. M.
Robertson, S, K. Kano, K. 1. nolo, T.
McCants Stewart, Geo. A. Davis and D,
Another matter was the salary of a
Judge, It was considered too low to at
tract and retain good men on til's
bench. J. K. Knulla, W. O. Smith nnd
r. M. Hatch wero appointed a commit
tee to report on this question. It Is In
