young McClenilon. head carpenter for
tho Kahulul Hallroad Company, was
climbing the side steps of the com
pany's warehouse at Kahulul, the stciis
gave way, and McClenilon wns thrown
down a distance of about twelve feet
the fallen steps striking him on tbo
head.
Dr. Weddlck gives tho causo of death
as conniFslon of tho brain, nnd subso
quently meningitis set In which wns
tho Immediate canto of death. McClen
ilon was about 23 or 21 years of ago,
and leaves a young wlfo and child at
the Coast to mourn the loss. Funeral
took place this Monday nftcrnoon from
tho Anglican church, Wnlluku, Ilev.

vices tho funeral procession proceeded
to loo cemetery where tho last rites
