As all the necessary alterations ordered
by the Inspectors of hulls and boilers had
not been made to the steamer Noeau at
sailing time yesterday she did not sail.
Today she will leave at 4 o'clock.
Since the withdrawal of the steamers
operating between Seattle and this port
there Is talk of the purchase of a sailing
vessel by merchants of this city who will
operate her on their own account.
When the American ship Henry Fallllng
arrives here she will have made one of the
longest trips on record from fW York.

her voyage from Falkland Islands on De
So far all the steamers of the Island
fleet Inspected have been given certificates
to carry pasengers except the Kauai, Ka
