The steamer Helene was towed Into port
by the Kalulanl last evening. The Helene
goes on the mirlne railway.
The Mauna Loa brought the following
cargo: 19158 bags sugar, 190 bags coffee.
150 bags taro, 25 bun banana, 16 kegs
buttrr, 11 bales tobacco. 1 baleawa, 19
bdls. hides, 28 head cattle, 4 pigs, 3 car
casses and 300 pkgs. sundries.
When off Laupahoehoe the hawsers
between the steamers Kalulanl and Helene
parted and the latter steamer lost about an
hour picking the disabled Helene up
again. She towed her all the way from
Hllo. The Fearless brought her Into port
this morning and she will go on the dry
dock as soon as possible.
The first social function to tc given by
Hawaii Lodge No. 341, International As
oclatlon of Machinists, will be a Grand
Ball In the Drill Shed. April 13, 1901. All
pirtlclpatlng are assured atfenjoyable time.
