shipment on Kauai.
The Mauna Loa sails on her regular
route at 2 p. m. tomorrow.
The bark Cevlon Is taking a ctew. She
will get away for Laysan this week.
The Makee from Kapaa this morning
brought 2770 bags sugar for C. Brewer &
Co. ,
The transport Garonne sailed for San
Francisco this morning a Ittle after nine
o'clock.
The steamer Maul sails for Hawaii ports
tomorrow at 5 p. in. taking passengers
and freight.
The Walaleale sails for Kauai tonight at
S p. m. She takes freight and passengers
to Elceleand Walmea.
The steamer Kauai returned from Ha
waii this morning. She brought 6000
bags sugar for C. Brewer & Co.
Fine weather Is reported along Hamakua
coast. The steamer Iwalanl will te In to
morrow or Saturday with a few load of
sugar.
The big American ship Arthur Sewall Is
walling for 500 tons of sugar. She will
get away for New York on Monday or
Tuesday.
The Hanalel's cargo of 14000 b3gs of
sugar Is the largest shipment ever cartlrd
on an Island vessel. The bags were all of
the large kind weighing 125 pounds each.

A private soldier of the volunteer troops
aboard the Garonne was treated to some
regular army desclpllne on the Navy
wharf yesterday that he will r.otsocn
forget. He was drunk and became very
abusive to a sergeant who ordered him to
move on. He refused and showing fight
was clubbed over the head with a revolv
er. After his wounds were dressed he was
taken aboard his ship and placed under
arrest for Insubordination.

Carr and Louis Kanake of the Post Office
Department start on a two day's trip over
the Island tomorrow. Thev will make a
circuit of the Island, by way of the Pall
