Claims that the ex-Professor of Oahu
College Perpetrated a Fraud
in a Stock Trans
action. Judgment of $310 was awarded to tho
plaintiff In tho trespass suit of Knlail
ft. En a Plantation, which has been
on trial In Judge Edlngs1 court since
lest Monday. The verdict was return'
cd jestcrday. The plaintiff claimed to
have been wrongfully dlsposssssed of
certain parcels ot land .
Notice has been filed hy Mngoon &
Thompson that on Monday next, they
will move to set n dato for hearing the
case of M. O. Silva vs. J. A. Magoon
administrator of the etate of A. Fer
nandez.
I.rmlBa Kaaloa has filed a petition
asking to bo appointed guardian of her
minor children. May and Edward. They
have property in Pnuoa valued at $1150,
David Dayton has filed his final ac
count ns guardian of George Washing
ton Hart, praying for discharge, his
ward having attained his majority. A

In the suit ot James V, Dergstrom vs.
J Q. Wood In equity. Tho suit Is to
compel tho cancellation of a $3000
promissory note, made hy plaintiff In
a certain stock transaction, entered
Into In May, 1S99. The complaint
states that the defendant was author
led to buy twcnty-flo chares of Wala
Ina paid up stock at $20 Opcr share,
for which plaintiff gave his noto for
$5000 with Interest at 8 per cent, with
Walalua assessable stock and shares
In tho Dergstrom Music Co. ns collater
al security. The plaintiff alleges that
he has reason to believe tho defendant,
Wood, did not buy tho stock and asks
an Injunction, restraining tho defen
dant fiom .transferrins the note or
other securities to third parties. Wood
Is now traveling nhroad, having at
one time been a profpssor in Oahu Col
lege amassing a comfortable fortune In
stock speculation.

His appeals were directed to the un
converted outside tho church and to

tho church. He was gratified with the
results of his labors In Honolulu which

morrow.
