that tho following Item be Inserted In
the Appropriation bill: Salary of Sec
ond Assistant Attorney General, $4800.

about this Item when It appeared In tho
bill on second reading mid was stricken
out, tho Senators yesterday mado no
objection whatever to Its resuscitation.
In fact, Mr. Kanuha was one of those
who previously voted against the item,

lowing new Items were Inserted In the
bill: Salary ot License Inspector, J3,
C00; License Clerk, $3000; pay of Sten
On motion of Mr. Nakapaahu, the
item of' Sewer Pay Roll was reconsider
ed and raised from $5520 to $7620, tho
mover explaining that he had seen the

found that It would be Impossible to
get along on a sum less than the one

Mr. Crabbo moved that tho salary of
the Deputy High Sheriff (Mr. Chilling
worth) be raised from $4200 to $4800,

40 are due and unpaid and these Items
should be settled. Thorefore, I recom
mend that they be inserted In the bill.
Treasury Department, unpaid bills,
amounting to $454.45 also to be Insert
ed. Other Items ot loan bill should be
paid whenever a loan Is provided.
Items "Expenses Bubonic Plague"
have already been Inserted In the bill.
The following items were recon
sidered and, on motion of Mr. Achl,
each was raised to $120Q; Salary Depu
ty Sheriff Koolauloa; Salary Deputy
On motion of Mr, Paris, the salary ot
the District Magistrate of South Kona
was raised from $1200 to $1080.
Tho Item ot Police Call Box SyBtem
was raised from $15,000 to $20,000 and
Incidentals, Registrar of Conveyances,
from $2500 to $3000. A new Item of
$7000 as for Court House and Jail at
Kallua, North Kona, was Inserted tin
the bill on motion of Mr. Paris; also
an Item of $3000 for the same pur.

from King Btreet road to the sea, Ewa

the items already mentioned, he suc

Item inserted In the bill: Wharf, Kal
lua or Kaawaloa, at the Discretion of
the Superintendent of Public Works,
