Annual Meeting of
The annual meeting of the contribu
tors to the Victoria Hospital was held
I at tho I'rlend building. Bethel street.
' yesterday afternoon. The report of
Bishop W1I1U on the work of tho hos
pital for the past jeitr was read. It
was devoted to polntlrg out the re
stricted facilities of the hospital and
tho disadvantageous location of the
establishment. The proximity of large
quantities of gasoline and kerosene In
the warehouses near the wards was
mentioned as a grave menace. Gieat
credit was given Dr. Bowman for effi
cient management during the 5 ear.
Separate rooms for th? patients aro
recommended as a necessity. As soon
as a new and suitable site is procured,
plans for buildings will be prepared.
The running expenses of the hospital
for the past year lia"e amounted to
1700 per montn.
The directors elected yesterday are:
Bishop Willis, S. K. Damon, Alex.
Young, Sanford B. Dole. A. L. C. Atkin
son, A. F. Judd and Geo. K. Smithies.
The directors will choose officers later.
