Alice Kimball which has been lying
on the Knlttilul beach ever since May
19, was floated oft at high tide today,
nnd Is now floating In deep water.
W, O, Scott, tho new owner who

trusted tho task of floating the vessel
tr Robt. English, pilot. Mr. English
employed about ten natives to work
on the schooner's windlass with big
hawsers attached to tho buoys In the
harbor. The natives commenced work
ing yesterday at high tide nnd tho ves.

and the schooner Is now free nnd will
bo able to sail to Honolulu for nercs
sary repairs as soon as her sails are
ready. It may be remembered that tho
wreck of tho Alice Kimball was con

ing of three captains from the foreign
merchant vessels, then In port, and It
was owing to their report that Capt.
Clarko superintendent of tho Wlldcj-
S. S, Co. recommended selling tho ves
sel nt public nrctlon for tho benefit of
tho underwriters.

Company of Tort Gamble.
Several hundred guests present en

present was given by tho employes of
tho shipyard to II. K. Ilnll, who has
been the active head of tho worlts
since tho llrst keel was laid In 1875.
Tho aamlile was christened by Miss
Mlgnon Plato of I'ort Ulnkelcy. Tho
vessel will carry timber.
Schooner W, II. Mnraton, Captain
Curtis, cleared from San Francisco on
Juno 25th, for Honolulu. Tho Marston
Is a five-masted schooner, nnd was
lately launched at Harbor View. She.
