time before such a boat would actual
ly be needed. Appreciating the possl

trade, plans were being perfected for
the construction of a larger boat with
all the tcqulrements of 11 vessel for
this trade. It Is tho plan to have the
boat nil ready on paper In cas-o of a
sudden demand for her, so there would
then be no necessity to hurry over
plans nnd specifications In an endeav
or to get a boat here. As was the case
with tho Maul and Ilclene, plans for
thee? vessels were perfected and nil
ready for a couple of years bernrc the
construction of the etwels was actual
ly begun. The company believes In
keeping up with the times, nnd hopes
always to be In a position to keep It
self In readiness for anything which
