others made an Important capture of
live moonshiners near Allan Heihert's
place In Kallhl early ycitcrduy afte:

Joseph Mcndes, tho proprietors; John
Cavalho, helper of the latter and Sato,
a Japanese who worked for Kalliuli;
John Richards, a man who was pres
ent with a bottle .ot okolehiio bought
from the men. Kalliuli wan balled,out
last night and .Mcndes and Cavalho to
day. The offlcem upon arrival near th
place where It vail suspected the men
were carrying on their work, went ou'
into the fields behind tho cluster of
bouses where Mendes makes bis bom.
At 1:30 o'clock, Ah On gave the lgnal
and the descent on the Bhed nmuka of
a cluster of three houses, began.
On the way, they ran across Rich
ards who had just come from tho
place. He had a bottle of okolehao In
bis possession. When the shwl was
reached, Cavalho was found In tho
elicd keeping tip the fire while Mcndes
was in the yard.
Chilllngworth then went to Kulllu
ll's house which wus found under an
arbor of lantnnn. Hero were found five
bottles ot mash and a furnace. 'I he

Court this forenoon and was con
tinued until the 29th Inst. The moon
shiners will bo tried before Judge
Dickey. It is understood that both
Kalliuli and Mendes will plead guilty.

nese suspect on the America Marn the
doctors found that the ense was not one
for alarm. Tho VPssel was allowed to
dock about 4 o'clock and things went
