which ho alleges the defendant owes
him for certain board, lodging, etc. Tha
case will come up In the Circuit Court
during the February term. The case
Is an unusual one for, In tho complaint,
the plan tilt states that tho money due
wns expended In the support ot Mrs.
Ded reaves for tho past six years or so.
One ot the counts of tho complaint
rends as follows:
"That for a period ot six years, pre
ceding the commencement ot this ac
tion, the plrJnt'K has at the Instanco
and request of' tho defendant and In
Honolulu, furnished Caroline Do
Greaves, wife of tho defendant, with
board, lodging, washing and necessary
clothing, tho reasonable value and cost
of which amount to the sura of $2000,
In which sum the defendant to Indebt
ed to the plaintiff therefor."
Another count of the complaint reads
as follows; "That during all theso
years tho defendant neglected nnd re'
fused to supply Caroline. Ucdrcavcs
