Sag Harbor, L. I., April 8. With
picks, shovels and divining rods scores
of natives of this. and adjoining ham

ing place of the life savings of Cleorgc
Tyndall, who died at his homo In North
Haven several weeks ago. Tyndall'i
farm of several hundred acres Is one of
the finest country properties In North
Haven, hnvlng a water frontage of
quite a mile. Mr. Tyndall's aversion

known, He hid his money. His heirs
ransacRcd his farmhouse and outbuild-

crannies. Among the coins found were

New York, April 23. Claiming as his
right under the constitution trial by
Jury for a murder committed nearly
eighteen years ago, Theodore Bung,
once a wealthy druggist has made be
fore Judge Marean of the Supreme
Court In Brooklyn, so strong a plea
for liberation from the State Hospital
for the Insane at Mattcauan, N. Y
that the Judge has declared him sane
and committed htm to the warden of
the Tombs to await trial for which he
asked,
Bung, who (ays he has been sane for
the last four years, was produced In
court by Dr. H, E. Allison, medical su
perintendent of the asylum. In answer
to a writ of habeas corpus Judge Ma
rean had Issued to lawyers who had
taken sufficient Interest In Bung to
Institute the proceedings In his be
half. x
Bung bccamerlnsanc In 1S84. He suf
fered from the delusion that a well
known actress was trying to make him
marry her and was following him from
place to place.( He was then 34 years
of age
Among Dung's friends was a drug
gist, whose name was Nookln. Bung
became a victim of the idea that Noo
kln was In league with the actress,
and fhot him to death.
Bung was held responsible for the
murder and Indicted, but a Sheriff's
Jury pronounced him insane. Slnco
that time he has been confined In the
asylum.
Burg, now, nfter fourteen years, has
appeared In court and presented such
a strong plea that the Judge ordered
a Jury trlnl on the old Indictment.
A meeting of the Honolulu Baseball
Leaguu was held last night to discuss
various matters In connection with tho
arrangements for the coming baseball
season. After considerable discission
it was decided to allow each team the
prl liege of sending In the name of an
umpire to the league, this list to bo

ever, no team will be allowed the ser
vlcts of Its own nominee In a game.
