from lines II, 7 and 8 thereof the following clause: "cury.deed
shall also state whether tho grantee is married or unmarried,

eluding tho maiden name of tho wife in full," and inserting
In place thereof the following clause: "every deed shall also
contain or have endorsed upon it a statement that tho grantee
is married or unmarried, and if married, said statement shall
give the name in full of the husband or wife," so that thu said
section as amended shall read as follows:
"Section 2147. Grantor's residence, etc. to bo stated. .Every
deed or other voluntary instrument presented for registration
shall contain or have endorsed upon it the full iiamu or names,
if more than one, plaee of residence and post oilice address of
the grantee or other person acquiring or claiming an interest
under such instrument and every deed shall ulo contain or
have endorsed upon it a statement that the grantee is married
or unmarried, and if married, said statement shall give tho
name in full of tho husband or wife. Any change in tho
residence or post ollico address of such person shall lie endorsed
by an assistant registrar on the original instrument, on receiv
ing a sworn statemont of such change. Allliiuiucri and ad
dresses hluill also bo entered on all certificates. Notices ami
processes issued in relation to registered land in pursuaneo of
this chapter may bo served upon any person in interest by
mailing tho same to the. address so given, and shall lie binding
whether such person resides within or without tho Territory."..
Suction .1. Section 2M):( is hereby amended )y adding
therein after the line-58 tho following paragraph:
"For any application mado by or in tho name of the Territory
of Hawaii", any proceedings bad upon such application or any
dealing with "registered land by thu Territory as owner no
fees shall bo charged."

approval.

Suction I. That Chapter 157 of tho Revised Laws of Ha
waii as amended by Act 111 of the Session Laws of 11105, relat
ing to corporations, bo amended by adding a new section there
to to If known as Section 250011, to read as follows:
"Section 250011. Xo increase or extension of thu capital
stock of any corporation organized under the Laws of tho
Territory of Hawaii, having authority under its articles of asso
ciation i)r charier to increase its capital jti.ek, shall bo legal
ami effective unless a certificate shall have first Ifcn filed with
tho Treasurer of the Territory, signed by tho president, and
secretary of such corporation, showing (1) the present author
ized capital stock of said corporation; (2) tho amount to which
the capital stock thereof may bo increaed or extended under
its articles of association or charier, and (.'I) the amount- of
increase or extension of such capital stock duly authorized by
its stockholders; which certificate, shall If accompanied by pay
ment of the fee required to be paid upon tho amount of increase
so authorized. Tim Treasurer shall not receive or file any
such certificate without such payment."
Skction 2. This Act shall take effect from and after tho
date of-its approval.

Skction 1. Chapter 101 of the Revised J.aws of Hawaii is
.hereby amended by adding thereto another section to lie known
as 'Section 1521 A, to read as follows:
"Section 1521 A. -Moneys representing a claim in favor of
tho Territory of Hawaii may be paid to a public accountant
of tho Territory under protest in writing signed by the person
making such payment, or by his agent, setting forth the grounds
of such protest," in which event tho public accountant to whom
such payment is made shall hold tho money so paid for. a
period of thirty days from the date of payment.
Action to recover the nionoy so paid, or proceedings to adjust
the claim may lo comnienced by tho payor or claimant against
the public accountant to whom tho payment was made, in a
court of competent jurisdiction, within said period of thirty
days, and in default of bringing such suit or proceedings within
said period, the money so paid shall If by such accountant de
posited in the Treasury of the Territory, and the same shall
thereupon become a government realization.
If action to recover tho money so paid under protest, or
proceedings to adjust tho claim, shall If commenced within
thirty days after payment of tho money under pro.test, the
amount so paid shall If transmitted by tho said public account
ant to the Treasurer of the Territory who shall hold tho samo
as a special deposit pending tho final decision of tho cause. If
the final decision of the cause shall If in favor of the claimant,
the Treasurer of tho Territory shall jury to him out of such
special deposit, such amount as shall have lieen adjudged to If
duo to him in said cause; tho amount v to bo paid to be
ascertained by tho Treasurer from a certifiM copy of tho judg
ment of the court, in which thocauso was finally determined,
which shall If his authority and warrant for such payment."

date of its approval.

are private schools."
