, Committee of the Church of the Good
' Bhepherd, Protestant Eplscopnl, of
.Wnlluku held a meeting at the nfflce
of the Wnlluku National Dank Thurs
day evening for the purpose of dis
cussing wnys and means for the
erection of a new stone church for
It was voted to ask Mr. Dowille to
furnish plans and specifications. It
is the Intention of the committee to
put up a stone church to cost about
$12,000, more or less. The building
funds has about $1,000 on hand. This
amount wns raised by the Ladles'
Guild, and It Is expected that the la
dles would continue their good work
ns they have done In the past, to
rnlsc the necessary revenue for this
new edifice, which will not only be
a credit to Wnlluku, but an ornament
to the County Scat. Almost the
wholo of Wnlluku would like to Bee
this building rise up In the near fu
ture. The church committee con
sists of Rev. Canon W. Ault, chair
man; J. N. S. Williams, C. D. Luf-kin,-
E. H. Hart, h. M. Bnldwln, and
