Good Roads Are
A good crowd of lojnl Republicans
and bohiu who were not turned out
last evening to hear the candidate

talk and promises ot good roads and
economy were the order of the even

as Interpreter, and his memory was
one of the marvels of the occasion.
The crowd )elled every time any ref

the crowd was notably Indifferent on
almost alt other toplcB, at least to
the extent of remaining silent.

and eliciting applause on the (list

businesslike way, and recalled the
fact that he is both n business man
and a kamaalna.
Danny Logan had a big compli

he finds the audiences paying to the
talks ot the candidates all over the
Island, an attention which he sajs
denotes tho Intelligent thinking be

compliment also to Kuhl6, and said
that he thought tho fact people wcro

Joe Cohen made a hit by mention-

naming their qualities and qualifica

choice ot the people.
John Hughes declared that the Re
