Matter of Appointments
Threshed Out By
Eddie Doutliltt came out strongly
for party control of appointments last
night nt tlio meeting or the Itepulill
can County Committee, laying ureal
Kress on the proposition that the He
publican County fathers should come
to tlio Committee relative to nil iiii

The question wan brought up by
Jutlit, who suggested that n committee
bo appointed to confer with the om
cers of ho Central Committee In re
gard to the respective jurisdictions of
the two committees. It was then that
Doutliltt came up with a statement
that It was ridiculous for the County
Committee to seek anyone. It was up
to the Supervlnois to come to he Com
mitted. Douthltt did nof mention Mo
hamet and the mountain, but bis talk
was In that line.
Tho upshot of tho matter was that
Clarence Crabbe and Judd, as well as
5outliltt, wero appointed u committee
to confer with tho Central Committee
men. Douthltt added that, should this
meeting be successful, and "we havo

''Tho r'cslgnallori of A. F. Judd as
