lecelved the completed surveys 01
lands In (he vlllasc oC-Wnlmea, Ilu-
wall, which will shortly be opened
ns township lots. This Is being done
ht the request of residents of Vnl-
inea, men who are employed on the
I'nrkcr ranch and othar places In the
vicinity, who wish to estnbllsh homes
mid to have smnll runs on which
they can keep their horses. The lots
hru splendidly located on the Kohala
side of the stream, near U10 Akana
store.
The lots, of which there will be
about Blxty, will rongo In site from
two and a half to Ave acres, and the
upset price will bo low, about twen-
I ty dollars an acre for the land, which
has been valued at $7G an acre, and
the lots will be disposed of under a
special ten ) ears' agreement of sale,
under which the purchasers will be
required to fence, plant trees, nnd es

the rooniB of tho College of Hawaii,
President Glltnore of tho Institute
made tho above statement during the
course of his exnlanatlon. relative to
the establishment of tho Collegd of
Hawaii In Manon.
President Ollinoro stated that tin
present collego is not largo enough
lor the school and experimental work.
Ho pointed out the desirability of lo
cating tho college on the Manoa laud,
us It Is mainly used for agricultural
purioses. All machinery for uxperl'
mental purposes that haa been bought
or that Is to be bought will hao utll
Ity value.
There are two classes of students
admitted to the college, students hold
ing diplomas from tho High School,
Normal School and Oahu Collego nmf
special students of 18 years and over
who wish to tako up n special course

course has been completed,
Mr. Gllmoro emphasized tho fact
that It was necessary that a high
