8HIPS OF NAVY WILL PLAY WAR.
Washington. The Navy Department
has under consideration a number of
maneuvers more elaborate than has
over before been attempted. These
will be conducted under conditions as
close as possible io those obtaining In
times of actual warfare.
Tho fleet maneuvers ore to be In ad
dition to tho regular record and target
practices In August, In which tho In
dividual units of the fleet will be tried
out. These late summer practices villi
be held on Ouaiitanamo, but the fleet
maneuver will cover n much wider
latitude, and probably will Includo the
entire stretch of the Atlantic coast
