THE SALE OF MEAT, FISH,
BIRDS, FOWLS. FRUIT, VEGE
TABLES AND OTHER FOODS IN
THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HO
NOLULU, PROVIDING FOR THE
INSPECTION OF SUCH ARTI
CLES. AND PROVIDING FOR
THE APPOINTMENT OF AND
DEFINING THE DUTIES OF IN

Section 1. No talncd or tlccayril

nected therewith, nnd nil articles
therein exposed or offered for sale

all Ice-chests nnd rofrlgerutors In
which any kind of food or drink Is,
or may bo kept for sale, shall be
subject nt nil reasonable hours to
the Inspection ot the City and
County Physician, mid -tho Inspec
tors and other officers ot tho City
Section 3. No person shnll ex
loso or offer for Bale, or shall sell
or cause or nllow to be used as food
or drink nny article which has been
condemned by tho City, and County

the City nnd County.

Section 8. It shall bo tho duty
ot tho Fish Inspector to examlno

lobsters, crabs ami other marine
products kept or offered for snlo
within his district, and it upon such
inspection, said Inspector shall find

to ho in an unsound, diseased or tin
wholesome, condition, it shnll bo his
duty to prohibit their sale; nnd tho
haid Fish Inspector Is hereby au
thorized, empowered and directed to
condemn, selzo nnd remove any un
sound, diseased or unwholesome fish,
oysters, clams, lobsters, crabs or
other mnrlne products which may be
offered for sulo as food within his

kets within his Inspection district

Section 12. All fish left unsold,
nt nny market, nt fl o'clock p. in. on

spected by the Fish Inspector, nnd
If found in proper condition may bo
placed In told storage. Such fish
on being ngnln offered for sale Bhnll
bo labeled as "Iced Fish."
Section 13. It shnll ho the
duty of tho Ment nnd Food Inspector
nnd tho Fish Inspector to respec
tively Inspect meat, fish, birds or
fowls, fruit or vegetables, and other
articles kept or offered for snlo as
food, or kept in any slaughter
house or public or prlvato market
within the District of such Inspector,
and to condemn such ns Is not
healthy, fresh, sound, wholesome
nnd fit nnd safe for human food.
The Meat and Food Inspector shall
have power to prohibit the slaugh
tering ot nny animal fo,r human food
which is diseased or otherwise un
fit for human consumption. It

Section 1C. Any perBon who
shall molest, hinder or In any innn
nor prevent any Inspector or other
officer from performing nny duty

of this Ordinance, and nny person
who shall violate any of tho provis
ions ot this Ordinance, shall ho
deemed guilty of n misdemeanor,

than $10 nor moro than $250, or
by Imprisonment for n term not ox
