BIRDS, FOWLS. FRUIT, VEGE-,
TABLES AND OTHER FOODS IN
THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HO
NOLULU. PROVIDING FOR THE
INSPECTION OF SUCH ARTI
CLES, AND PROVIDING' IFOR
THE APPOINTMENT1 OF AND
DEFINING THE DUTIES OF IN
SPECTORS THEREOF. ' r"
HE IT ORDAINED RY THE PEO

TY OF HONOLULU,
Section 1. No talntcj or decayed
meat, fish, birds or fowls, fruit or
vegetables, nor other food, which Is
not healthy, fresh, found, whole
noma and fit ami gate for human
food, nor any meat or fish that 'has
died from dlscnso, shall bo brought
Into or offered for salo as food; or
kept In any public or private mar
ket within the City nnd County ,of
Honolulu.
Section 2. All public and private
markets In tho City and County of
Honolulu, together with all tools,
machinery nnd appurtenances con
ncctcd therewith, and all articles
therein exposed or offered for sale
ns food or drink, nnd the contents
of nil Ico-chosts ,nnd rofrlgoratore In
which any kind of food or drink Is,
or may bo kept 'for sale, shall bo
subject at nil reasonable hours to
the Inspection ot tho City nnd
County Physician, and tho Inspec
tors and ollior officers of tho 'City
and County.
Section 3. No ponton shall ex
foso or offer for snlo, or shull Bell
or cauee or allow to be used as food
or drink any article which has been
condemned by the City nnd County
rhyslclan, or by any inspector" of
the City nnd County. V

and Inspect nil fish, oysters, clams,
ldbstcrs, crabs and other marlno

beef, mutton, veal, pork or tho.car

along any public street, unless' such
article be so covered, or unless the
vehicle In which It is transported be
bo constructed as to entirely pro
tect such article from dust and dirt,
and so that the same mny not be ex-

Section 10. Any person who
shall molest"; hinder or In'any "man
ner prevent nny inspector or other
officer from performing any duty
Imposed upon him by the provisions
ot this Ordinance, nn'd any person
who shall violate any of tho provis

ed guilty of a misdemennor, and upon
conviction thereof shnll bo punished
by a fine of not less than $10 nor
more than $250, or by Imprisonment
for a term not exceeding threo

Section 1. It shall bo tho duty or
tho legally licensed physician who

ceased person, or It no physician was

ot tho Coroner to report tho death to
tho City and County Pliyslclan Immed
iately after such death occurs, upon
one ot tho, blanks furnished by the
City and County Physician for that
purpose, .filling in tho blank .spaces
so as to give all of tho Information re
qulrc'd by the blanks so filled. In
case of a stillbirth, It shall be tho
duty of tho legally licensed phyBlclan
In charge during the confinement, or
coroner, to report tho samo Immed
iately as In other cases of death, on
ono ot tho blanks nbovo mentioned
furnished for' that purposo, giving tho
details, as required In other cases of
death, -

him under tho provisions of this Ordi
nance Section C. Any porson who shnll
vlolato any of tho provisions of this
Ordinance shall bo deemed guilty ot
a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof shnll bo punished by.n fluo.not
exceeding Two Hundred ($200.00)
Dollars, or by Imprisonment for a torm
riot exceeding "threo months, or by
both such flue nnd Imprisonment. .
