WEEKLY WEATHER BULLETIN.
1 , HONOLULU, T. H., March 7, 1910.
The greatest amounts of rainfall during the week were reported from
the higher attitudes of the Honolulu district of Oahu and amounted to
6 63 to 6.43 Inches,
The rainfall was below the average for the week In all portions of
the Section, excepting In parti of the North Kohala district of Hawaii,
and at the" higher levels of the Honolulu district of Oahu.
The following are the deficiencies, at compared with the average of
ten or more years, In Inches, In the several districts of the different
Inlands: HAWAII Hamakua 1.75 to 2.04, North Hllo 1.90, South HJIo
069 to 1.S3, Puna and Kau 1.21 to 1.28, and North Kona 0.99; MAUI
Makawao 0.32, and Lahalna 0 63; OAHU Koolaupoko 0.13 to 1.04, and
Ewa and Walanae 0.69 to 0.62; KAUAI Hanalel O.S1, and Walmea 0.99;
and MOLOKAI Molokal 0.96, In the North Kohala district of Hawaii
the departures ranged from O.05 to -10.35; and In the Honolulu district
of Oahu from O.S7 to 2.43.
Tha following are the total amounta of rainfall, In Inehea, In " v
ral districts: HAWAII North Kohala 1.31 to 1.71, Hamakua OOOto
0.61. North Hllo 0.94 to 2.40, 8outh Hllo 2.09 to 2.77, Puna 1.12 to 1.76,
Kau 0:00, 8outh Kona 0.14, and North Kona 006; MAUI Makawao
14 to 235, Hana 0.43 to 1.80, and Lahalna and Walluku 0.11 to 0.19;
OAHU Koolaupoko 0.58 to 1.95, Honolulu 0.33 at the lower levels and
6.63 to 6.43 at the higher, Ewa OJJ1 to 0.37, Walanae 0.00, , and Walalua
0.21; KAUAI Hanalel 1.47, Llhue O.S7, Koloa 050, and Walmea 0.10 j
and MOLOKAI Molokal 047 to 1.10.
The mean temperatures were higher than those of the preceding
week, and generally markedly so, at all stations on Hawaii, Maul, Oahu,
and Kauai. On Molokal they were slightly lower.
The following table shows tha weakly averages of temperature and
rainfall for tha principal Islands and for tha Group:
Hawaii 70.5 1.10 inches.
Maul 70.6 1.10 Inches.
Oahu 72.5' I 2.16 Inches.
Kauai 71.9 0.58 Inch.
Molokal 71.8 .0.74 Inch.
Entire Group 71.5 1.23 Inches.
At the local office of the United States Weather Bureau In Honolulu
partly cloudy weather obtained, with traces of rainfall on the first
three dates, and measurable amounts on two others totaling 0.33 Inch,
that amount more than during the preceding week, and 0.67 Inch less
than the normal for the week. The maxlmuifi temperature was 79,
minimum 66, and mean 72.8, 2.4 above the weekly normal, and 0.9 -
higher than last week's. Easterly wlnda prevailed on the 27th and 4th
aifd northeasterly on the remallnng datea, with an average hourly
velocity of 6.7 mites. The mean dally relative humidity varied from
72 to 77, and the mean for the weok wae 73.7 about 4 above
normal. The mean dally barometer ranged from 30.01 to 30.11 Inches,
and the mean for the week, 30.04, was 0.04 Inch above normal.

Kohala Mill (3) Rain fell on four dates and amounted to 1.31 inches,

Konokaa (2) The mean temperature was 72 2. There was no rain

Paauhau (2) There was no rainfall, a deficiency of 2.04 Inches as
compared with the weekly averago, and 2.17 less than the preceding

dates and amounted to 2 33 Inches, 1.53 less than the average, and 1.78
more than last week's J. Fraser.
Pepeekeo (3) There wero six days with rainfall, which amounted
to 2 09 IntheH. .8? Inch less than the average, and .93 more than tho
ptovlous week's. The mean temperature was 71.0. Pepeekeo Sugar
Papalkou (3) Rain fell on tho last flvo dates and amounted to 2.77
Inches, 1.45 more than during tho preceding week, nnd .92 Inch loss

Kapoho (3) The mean temptraturo was 71.6. Showers occurred
on six dates and totaled 1.12 Inches, 1.21 below the average and 1.35

Kaueleau (2) Showers occurred dally nnd totaled 1.76 Inches, 1.27
more than during tho preceding week. Tho mean temperature was
