liquor traffic of tho County as follow's:
Wo tho Orand Jury called as wit
nesses In the above Investigations the
Sheriff and his deputies, to show what
has been dono In regard to tho illicit
solo of liquor. Tho Sheriff reports as
convictions in liquor cases sluco July,
1909: One case In Wnlnlha, two cases
In Hanaicl, two cases In Klluuea, mm
case In Kapna, ono caso In Manama
lilu, one caso In Koloa, and ulno cases
in Wnlmen District,
There was $1000.00 paid In as flues
tor illicit salo of liquor since July of
The Sheriff stated that ho had been
handicapped In his work on liquor
cases up to the first of January, 1910,
on account of n lack of funds; since
that time he has been granted money
for the purpose, tho result being that
fines to the amount of 1800.00 hao
been paid In since -January 1, 1910,
