and made a very strict review of the
drills.
The companies lined up In front
of their quarters at 9 o'clock and
marched to the parade grounds and
formed tho battalion for review.
After the bnttallqnwns formed' It
was ordered by Captain Winters to
pass In review. Company A had tho
best line while passing tho levlew
Ing ofTlcer. The cadets, In gray uni
forms, next formed for parade dilll.
Kach company did good work In this
paindc. It took iihoiit fifteen min
utes. After pirude drill thu battal
ion was formed for Inspection. Major
Dunning made a veiy strict Inspec
tion, noticing eu-ry part of the ca
dets the hair, dress, uniform and
equipments, This Inspection lasted
nearly an hour, as'the major went
along slowly, inspecting etosoly.
When company inspection was
over the cadets' were ordered to quar
tets for change. In uniform. At
10: IS the guard funned lino for
guard mounting, In khnk'l uniforms.
After guard mounting, the guard wai
dismissed to Join their companies.
The battalion was given rest while
inspection of quarters was made by
Major Dunning. Captain Winters and
Cadet Major MtGowan. Kxtended
order was next takeu up mid was a
tuccess. Kach company had Its
skirmishers lined out In 'lino order, j
Captain Winters spent a good deal of
time during tho past tow months on
fthis drill, and the cadets made a
good showing of his work. ' After
I extended order, the Inspector order
led company drill In clone order! Kach1

in these drills, under tho good load
