CONTRACTORS READY

Copies of the bill for Injunction Med
by John H. WltMn In the Circuit Court
Jcsterdsy to prevent the Lord-Young
Knglneerlng Compnny from proceeding
with the Heela belt-road contract, were
nerved thin morning on the Lord-Young
compnny, the. loan fund commission,
which awarded the contract, and Au
ditor J. 1!. Planer.
The hearing will be argued within a
day or two, and T. 11. IVtric, secre
tary ot the commission, expressed con
f Itdence thin morning that the legal bat

the commission believe, from audi ex

Wilson ns they could make this morn

fact that the commission proceeded un
der the nltorney-general'8 ndvlco that
It could discriminate between a respon

Kvcn If the en so Is carried to the
Huprcme Court. It Is pointed out that
the iictunl work on the belt road will bo
started Immediately and that It will
probably be finished before tho case Is,
but neither tho commission nor the
successful contractors seem worried
over the prospect of an extended legal
light.
Incidentally, a story sprung by the
morning paper to the effect that the
commission had made a blunder, and
that the contract Is not complete be
cause Auditor Fisher has not signed It,
was quickly punctured this morning.
The auditor dpesn't have to aftlx his
signature to the contract until llrst

BOGERT ASKS TO

That he should be allowed to open
a military school In Hawaii Is the re
quest of K, W. Bogert, former ser

that he hud taken the matter under

his mind.
Uogert, who has uecu blocked In ev
ery direction In his attempt to form a
Chinese volunteer force here and march
them away to the seat of war, has now
tried this as u last expedient. Ills Idea,
ho says, Is not to open tho school for
any nationality In purllculur, but that
it shall bo thrown open to all comers
Upon the payment of the tuition fee
ho will undertake to Instruct them In
the proper manner of carrying out all
tho various military munouvcrs.
llli Idea, according to tho letter, bus
nothing to connect It with the previous
announcement that ho was to drill n
sijuud of nung Chinese ambitious to
knd a hand on tho side of the rcvolu

do Is to open a military school and
