ested two crops of rye from the same field
this year. ThefirstCrop^was badly damaged
by the hoppers, but. was harvested "at the usual
ctime, and yielded about fifteen bushels'to the
acre. The rye grew up again and was cut
fi ately, yielding ten bushels." Though this mayXT
he called two harvests there are probably few
farmers who would not rather have one good
one.
