Dunning and Mary Dunning, his -wife, of the eguntyoi Mine Lacs, and State of Minnesota, mqrtgft ?lennepin prs, unto G. G. Oftamberlin of the county of and State of Minnesota mortgagee, whereby the said mortgagors did bargain, sell, grant, and convey unto the said mortgagee, his heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Mille Laos and State of Minnesota, described as fol lows, to-wit: Lot three (3) outlots in Bridgeman town site, according to the recorded plat thereof in the registry of deeds, being the office of the register of deeds of said Mille Lacs county with the tenements, hereditaments, and ap purtenances, to seoure the payment of the sum of two hundred and ten (210) dollars, accord ing to the conditions of one certain promissory note bearing even date with said mortgage, for the sum of two hundred and ten (210) dollars, and payable in two years from date thereof, with interest thereon at the rate of ten per cent, per annum made by said N. G. Dunning and Mary Dunning to said G. G. Chamberlin or order: and which said mortgage was duly recorded in the office of the register of deeds for said county of Mille Lacs on the 9th day of February 1804, at 4 o'clook and 3a minutes in the afternoon of said day, in booh "G" of mortgages, on pages 808 and 309 and whereas, afterwards on the 3d day of January A. D. 1899. by an instrument in writing of that date duly executed, acknowledged, and delivered, the said G. G. Chamberlin duly assumed and transferred the said note and mortgage to the undersigned Henry Habighorst who is now the owner and holder thereof, which said instru ment of assignment was afterwards duly re corded in the said register of deeds'office on the 15th day of August A. p.1899, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon .of said day, in book "L" of mortgages at pages 138 and 124. And there is claimed to be due and is now due upon the said mortgage at this date, for principal and inter est, the sum of three hundred and thirtv and 75-100 (330.75) dollars, and the sum of twenty five (25) dollars for attorney's fees being allowed by the terms of said mortgage, smd the total amount so due at this date, for principal, interest, and attorney's fees being the sum of three hundred and fifty-five and 75-100 (355.75) dollars, and no suit or proceed ing having been instituted at law or otherwise to recover the debt so remaining secured by the said mortgage, or any part thereof. Now. therefore, notice is hereby given, that by virtue of the power of sale in said mortgage contained, and pursuant to the statute in such case made and provided, the said mortgage will be foreclosed by sale of the said mortgaged premises, and the said mortgaged premises hereinabove described will be sold by the sheriff of said county of Mille Lacs at public auction, to the highest bidder therefor, for cash, at the front door of the court house in Princeton in said Mille Lacs county, on the 29th day of December 1899, at two o'clock in the af ternoon of said day, to satisfy the amount that shall then be due on the said note and mort gage, including said attorney's fees, with all legal eot and disbursements. M. Murray and thirty-one others, the following final order was made and adopted by a unanimous vote: STATE OF MINNESOTA, I e Ss Whereas, A petition signed by thirty-two freeholders of said county, praying for the lo cation and establishment of a certain highway in said county, running into more than one town, and not within the limits of any incor porated city, as hereinafter described, was pre sented to this board at its session held on the 2t day of September, 1899, and this board having determined by the judgment of a ma jority of its members that said petition is rea sonable on its face, and having by its order made at said session, appointed Monday, the 27th day of.November, 1899. at 2 o'clock p. at Princeton, in said county, as the time and place for a hearing upon said petition, and hav ing by said order appointed a committee of its members to examine said proposed location of said road and designated Tuesday, the 31st day October, 1899, at 10 o'clock A. at A. W. Burk's house in said county, as the time and place for said committee to meet on the route of said proposed road, for the examination of the same, and having caused notices of said hearing and said meeting of said committee embodying a copy of said petition, to be posted! in the three most public places of each town through which said proposed location of said road runs, or affected thereby, at least thirty days before the day of said hearing upon said petition, and being satisfied that said notices were so posted and proof of said posting duly made, and the said committee having met at the time and place designated in said order and said notices, and examined the same and made its report in writing to this board, and recom mended that said petition be granted, and said board having met at the time and place desig nated in said order and said notices to-wif at Princeton, in said county, on Monday, the 27th day of November, 1899, at 2 o'clock P. In the matter of the petition presented bv Louis Rust, the following order was made and adopted by a unanimous vote Whereas, the petition of Louis Rust, a legal voter, free-holder and resident of school dis trict No. 1, in this county, with the approval of the county superintendent endorsed thereon, representing that he is the owner of the lands hereinafter described, which-are situate in said school district, and adjoin school district No. 3. and asking that he with his said lands may be set off from said school district No. 1 to said adjoining school district No. 3, for the follow ing reasons: That the distance from his resi dence to the school house in school district No. 1 is about five miles, and from the school house in district No. three to his home is only two and one-fourth miles was presented tq the board of county commissioners of this county, at a session of said board held on the 27th day of September, A. D. 1899, for the action of said board thereon and Whereas, it was thereupon ordered by said board that a hearing should be had on said pe tition at a session of said board commencing on the 27th day of November, A. D. 1899, at the county auditor's office, in the village of Prince ton in said county and Whereas, it was further ordered in and by said order that notice of the time and place of such hearing be given by posting a copy of said order in one public place in each of the school districts to be affected by said petition, and by handing to and leaving with the clerk of each of said school districts, personally, a copy of said order, at least ten days before the time appointed for such hearing and Whereas, at the said session of said board of county commissioners commencing on siad 27th day of November, A. Official Account of the Fight at ViganAmericans Lost Eight. WASHINGTON, Dec. 7.General Otii haa cabled the war department that ife has had no news from General Young for a week. This taken to indicate that Young is continuing his hot pur* suit of Aguinaldo, and probably is in a country where he regards it as unsafe to use couriers. General Otis' dis patch, which follows, also gives an of ficial account of Lieutenant Colonel Parker's engagement at Vigan: ''General Young, with 13 companies of infantry and 9 troops of cavalry, not heard from since 29th ultimo. He was then about 20 miles south of Vigan and most of troops marching to his support, but then had with him three troops cavalry, battalion Thirty-third infantry and Macabebe scouts. One company Thirty-third infantry sent by boat to Vigan to reinforce navy there. Lieu tenant Colonel Parker of Thirty-fifth, reports from Vigan, 5th hist., that he has not heard from Young for a week. Insurgents 800 strong made attack on his force, consisting company and 152 sick and footsore men Thirty-third tofantry, 4 o'clock morning 4th, enter ing city in darkness severe street fight ensued, continuing four hours enemy driven out, leaving 40 dead, 32 prison ers, including many officers, and 84 rifles now on outskirts entrenching. Parker says can hold out indefinitely plenty rations and ammunition. Hie loss eight enlisted men killed, three wounded. One hundred sixty men now being transported from San Fabian to his relief. Young must be in vicinity with large force." NEW YORK AFTER IT. Strone Bidder forth Democratic Na tional Convention. CHICAGO, Dec. 7.The Tribune says: According to J. G. Johnson of the Democratic executive committee New York wants the Democratic national convention and will make a strong effort to secure it. His information shows, too, that there is considerable sentiment among party leaders through out the country in favor of going to that city. They are impressed with the claims of Eastern Democrats that it would be a good move. It is said that only a few of the Westerners *who will be elected delegates have ever seen New York and for that reason they would like to go there. Furthermore, it is stated that Tammany Hall not only pay the expenses but contribujbe a much larger amount to the campaign fund than Milwaukee, Kansas City or any other Western town can afford to give. CHEYENNE, Wy., Dec. 7.The citi iens of Diamondvilie fear that a crisis is approaching and many of them are leaving the coal camp. Sixty deputies arrived at Diamondvilie during the day from Evanston, Fort Bridges, Coke ville, Kemmerer and Big Piney, to gether with several cases of arms and ammunition from Evanston. This gives Sheriff John Ward a force of about 100 well armed and experienced men. The strikers are not idle and are getting ready for battle. The company is de termined to operate its mines and the strikers are equally determined that it shall not. LIKE FRANKLIN SYNDICATE. Ward and Wataon, Operating at Minne apolia, Have Disappeared. MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 7. Ward and Watson, who have been operating what ia known as the "arbitrage system" here, entirely similar to that of the Franklin syndicate, in New York, have disappeared. The amount of losses by investors is not known, as all evidence was destroyed before the men left. The authorities are taking steps to. ap prehend the men.
